St. Martins Way – Dover to Shepherdswell

Setting off on a new pilgrimage route, the St. Martins Way (Dover to Canterbury) on 24/04/2023, I leave the harbour & walk along the River Dour reflecting on the events of recent months and the concept of pilgrimage. Walking through fields surrounded by sheep I enjoy the joys of Spring before arriving in Shepherdswell where the trail converges with the Via Francigena.

The Royal Saxon Way – Lyminge to Breach

Setting off from Lyminge along the Royal Saxon Way on 02/11/22 I walk through the tranquil, livestock fields of the Elham Valley. As I progress, I update on the new British Prime Minister and the gloomy circumstances of a hybrid war with Russia; before mulling over the future options to continue my pilgrimage.

The First Days Of Spring

During a walk along the Royal Military Canal near Bilsington, Kent with my son Edison on 21/02/21 I talk about the forthcoming roadmap out of lockdown, Angela Merkel’s opinion that the whole world needs to be vaccinated and discuss the new mandatory quarantine measures introduced by the United Kingdom government.
