Augustine Camino: Canterbury to Preston

Setting off for the last two days of the Augustine Camino I commentate at different points of my journey.  Walking through the woods & fields leaving Canterbury and Stodmarsh Nature Reserve I reflect on nature, mental health and pilgrimage before arriving at Preston and setting down for the evening.

Augustine Camino – Faversham to Canterbury

On my fourth day walking the trail of the Augustine Camino on 17/05/22 I reflect on the pandemic, Ukraine, the Wim Hof method and commentate on my feelings as I pass through the serene settings of nature.

Nature & Normality

Exploring Romney Marsh Nature Reserve with my son Edison on 16/01/2022, I talk about the overwhelmment of the NHS and how ‘normal’ life is different to two years ago; meanwhile Edison enjoys the simplicity of the natural setting.

Ramblings In Nature

During a walk with my son Edison at Brockhill Country Park, Saltwood, Kent on 15/01/2022 I talk about how the world feels closer to normality after announcements that the Omicron variant is less damaging than was initially feared a few months ago.

Whilst I ramble about personal items, my son Edison explores nature; finding a stream, waterfall, camp and a woodland ‘cave’.

Augustine Camino – Aylesford to Thurnham

During a walk on the Augustine Camino on 30/12/2021 from Aylesford to Thurnham I ponder the concept of pilgrimage, reflect on the last year and state my areas of focus for 2022.

Augustine Camino: Rochester to Aylesford

Starting the Augustine Camino from Rochester Castle on 11/11/2021 I reflect on the importance of pilgrimage and it’s silent lesson to enjoy the journey of life. I enjoy the views of the countryside and the peaceful environment of Aylesford Priory before leaving the trail to return another day.

A Birthday Reflection

During a walk to the top of Summerhouse Hill in Etchinghill, near Folkestone, Kent on 09/11/2021 I discuss the impact of Covid-19; the many ways normality has resumed but express my long-term concerns.  Amid new vaccine regulations in France and Italy I also reflect on the personal challenges ahead.

The Importance Of Mental Health

During a walk around Mersham le-Hatch Deer Park on 14/09/21 I talk about the importance of Mental Health and open up about the personal impact inflicted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Greatstone Shingle Trail

During a walk along the Shingle Trail in Greatstone, Romney Marsh, Kent on 14/08/2021 I enjoy the solitude and beauty of being in nature.  I also reflect on the aftermath of the pandemic following a recent announcement made on the United Kingdom’s freedom day.  I finish the walk on the beach before reuniting with my young son Edison.

A Hesitant Update

Following a trip to the park with my son Edison on 03/05/21, I walk and talk about the vaccine rollout reaching 65% of the population of the United Kingdom (UK).   After discovering some farm buildings I update on the latest lifting of restrictions for public events ahead of the forthcoming June 21st date, set by the UK to be the end of lockdown.
